E-waste is one of the fastest-growing types of waste in North America, and it can contain harmful materials like lead from CRT displays, mercury from LCDs and TVs, and circuit boards from various electronics. So Soya also handles the disposal of IT assets, including computers, laptops, printers, and servers. For a detailed list, see the Items Accepted section below.
So Soya provides e-waste collection and recycling services to businesses, institutions, NGOs, and communities throughout the year.
Items Accepted
Below is a general list of the most common electronic/electrical items we accept:
Computers -PCs, Laptops, Servers, Tablets, etc.
Display devices -LCDs, LEDs, TVs, CRTs.
Printers, including printer cartridges.
Video gaming devices.
Telephones, including cellular phones.
Radios and stereos, including vehicle stereos.
Cameras, including security cameras.
Audio / Video equipment – recorders, projectors, stereos, speakers, headphones, etc.
Drones with audio or visual recording equipment.
Peripherals and cables used with computers and office equipment, including keyboards, mice, VGA, power cables, and power chargers.
Handheld point-of-sale terminals, barcode readers, scanners, etc.
Musical instruments.
Laptop Batteries, Alkaline batteries, Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, Ni-Zn, Carbon Zinc, Li-Ion, small Lead acid and Button / Coin batteries.
Items NOT Accepted
White goods (i.e. Home Appliances)
Non-Acceptable batteries: Any single /stand-alone battery which is 5kg. (11 Lbs.) or more in weight, vented batteries, auto batteries, and wet batteries.
